Sort of grabs me , but I can see as you say it being a pathway, that it will lead to much better things down the track.

Can't be too hard I suppose on first flowering.

As you have said before greens are harder to achieve.

2 observations stand out - the name obviously reveals an interesting array of species, but importantly how goeringii has been brought into the mix, particularly at the 4n level. Then the photo, and the first thing you look at is colour - and that reveals the second observation, the absense of any sun staining on the outer segments. I think the moderator is under selling this plant, I am sure it will be (or one of its siblings) an important parent of the future.

They didn't match up season-wise but I'm sure you will agree with the one pod I did make on it (it only is a single bulb!). It has been crossed with the green Summer Pearl mini hybrid I showed a picture of several months ago. Dropped one pod already on the ensifolium X Peter Pan but the rest are holding. Every flower was pollinated, if it dies in childbirth, so be it! Incidentally when potting on the Zales-goeringii 4n X erythrostylum 4n seedlings today, I noticed they had grown faster than any other cross in the young plant area. Hell they only arrived in the latter part of last year!
