Sourpuss

Post by GaryCAZ »

Is this a Sourpuss or what?? Old Squogre at her best. In the rear, unfortunately largely obscured, is the Champion Display from Cal-Orchid.
Enjoy!

I shouldn't waste my time looking at Orchid Board Forum because they truly are the most ignorant, sycophantic lot of orchid losers on the Internet, However I did and old Squogre was giving advice again. Some person had a miserable plant of a well-known orchid. It was introduced as a Taiwanese clone, correct so far. In chimes "CymLadye" aka Squogre guessing "goeringii or ensifolium in the background". Talk about a shotgun approach and from a supposed judge as well. In chimes the next twit with "does anyone think it is a Devon Elf?" Well no actually, it is a very poorly grown Chen's Ruby..... Hasn't March been a bad month for some folk? Oh well, the Squogre Show is coming up in April and the "judges" are handpicked. Anyone want to guess who will win best Cymbidium???

In the months that this forum was off the air, I found myself viewing the Orchid Board Forum too. I had worked out some time ago that Squogre was Cym Ladye.
I somehow developed an image in my mind of what she looks like. Was I mistaken? She is older in real life. Mr. Cym, you have spoilt my illusion.
The lady has a puzzled look on her face. Has she heard that you were in the building?

Good to have you back.

Very good to be back Nigel, I have missed all the Forum input but now we are away again and enjoying orchid discussion with lots of pictures too, thanks to Gary.

Some people are old before their time if you know what I mean.

So that is what the famous Squogre looks like, not happy Jan! Can I ask, what is her main claim to fame.

Unless that was a trade day or something, the lack of general public in the picture is totally underwhelming, or maybe the pic was taken before the public was allowed in.

Cheers

Gary..
