What a visit! I am indebted to Susumu Furuya for an inspiring visit.. The China l last saw 19 years ago is no more…. From magnificent airports to amazing orchids, l’ve had one hell of a week! Lots to write about and photos to post. My visit to Mukoyama Orchids (China) has impressed me in so many ways. But first a couple of sleep-filled nights are required!!

Second that, I have no idea but I am betting the Chinese have emulated the greenhouse technology at work in The Netherlands - and then taken it to a new level.

Well there’s a few things l won’t be telling…. The MO (China) Lab technology is staggering!

Gary, the greenhouses are not particularly high technology structures. Certainly at Wuxi, near Shanghai, there's lots of heat-saving screens but down in Kunming, the area is more temperate and the greenhouses are more basic. In Kunming I was reminded of Salinas, CA.
