A most valuable plant!

This is the only authentic alba form of Cym. pumilum I've ever seen but my amazement didn't stop there! It carried six spikes with an averaged but count of 60! Not as high as the 80+ regularly colored forms but an exciting future breeder.

Lots of potential sitting there!
In my experience, Cymbidium don’t particularly like that over deep style pot. Maybe in the climate there, plants need a little more root run?.

Murph, I really don't know. I tend to like deep pots but adjust my watering to reflect that extra medium.

I’m sure that where the plant hunters have found these little gems, there is yet more to discover. West of Kunming towards Myanmar is bound to be worth a look. Particularly over towards Myanmar, in that “dangerous “ opium growing region.

It's all yours, Murph! I am proud to say that when Kobsukh took me to the mountains in Thailand, the only thing I took was four pollen masses.... And despite all the dopey Kewites trying to create a species, "Cym. seidenfadenii", it was bred with under its correct name: Cym. insigne!
