That is a beautiful view. Starlink seems to be the answer to good internet in remote places. My neighbour is using it and is pleased with the connectivity.

A very nice outlook on the local scenery, and you can’t go wrong with Starlink. We live in the middle of nowhere, but have very fast internet 24 / 7 thanks to Starlink.

Well we all know Elon is a genius! Because l had to endure five years of crap service from a local provider, l now view him as my friend. When l get a very special seedling cross it will be named for him.

Hard disagree. Elon Musk is not remotely a genius. There are countless examples, but Twitter is an excellent one - it demonstrates that he is completely out of touch with how software and IT platforms operate, nor does he have much business acumen. Best estimates are that it is now worth only about a quarter of what it was when he bought it, due to a slew of bad decisions on his part.

The best descriptor for Elon Musk is "lucky". He was successful with his first venture (Zip2, a business directory) and that gave him the starting point to launch other ventures. Some of these have been successful (SpaceX & PayPal), some have been partially successful (Tesla, ranging from successfully introducing EVs to the abject failure that was the Cybertruck) and some have been complete disasters (Hyperloop and his purchased of Twitter). At this point it really looks like he just randomly throws out ideas (ranging from plausible to insane) and see what sticks, without any concept of whether they are good ideas or not.

Well we disagree! I have no intention of getting into a back and forth about Elon and I'm sure he would easily test as a genius.

Some people cloud their judgement because they have trouble separating an individual's achievements from their personality. I'm sure I'd never be able to lead the development of Paypal, Tesla, Space X - what a trifecta.
As for being lucky, I'd balance that notion with high intellect, hard work, and determination. Musk is derided for his involvement in Twitter, but one should remember another genius, Mr Einstein. His quote of 99 times his conclusions were false, and being right on the hundredth puts it into perspective. Then again, perhaps he got lucky, and he wasn't all that bright after all?
