This is my final cym of the season to flower, Sweet Devon 'Sweet'. I know that devonianum hybrids have now been taken forward along paths that are totally different from the species but sometimes it is just nice to look back at the devonianum heritage and to be able to recognise it.

A muddler who used to rent space at Bay Breeze had a chance 4n mutation of this lovely primary. I tried to clone it without success and he would not part with a division. Of course the plant is now kaput! Even the crosses I tried to make with the 4n pollen, failed. It is a lovely thing and truly a reminder that Summer is here.

Lovely flowering Terry, you are indeed growing this plant well and it has rewarded you with many beautiful flowers. Hopefully it has some fragrance and the color is also quite clean - overall a beauty to behold. I really like this type of pendulous Cym hybrid.
