A short 2013 show summary

Well the Spring Californian shows are almost over and it has been a boring season indeed. Peninsula just Squogre junk. Pacific Orchid Exposition at SFO, poor for Cyms, good for stealing with some goeringii missing?? Wonder who? Santa Barbara lacking much new and/or quality though the best of the bunch for Cyms even if that is damning with faint praise. Santa Clara woeful as was Golden Gate Cymbidium Society. When all that's being awarded is Culturals on older hybrids, innovation is lacking. Reports on San Diego were totally negative, especially for Cyms. That leaves Sacramento and Napa still to go and little chance of anything spectacular there. Nothing much showing up at monthly judgings either. I almost forgot, the Squogre Show is yet to come, don't hold your breath folks......

Just as well I did not book a flight to come over there and visit all of these esteemed and world renowned shows!!

I think I will give the Squogre show a miss also, but I am sure you will keep us updated with all the dreary news there, Andy. Just had a look at my diary, don't know what weekend it is on but I am busy with other engagements anyway.

It's at a public venue Gary, if you came over and we visited, I'm sure we'd get the evil eye in "centuplicate"!

I will be busy that weekend as I said, getting my hair cut I think or trimming my nails - something like that anyway. You will have to attend on your own and get the evil eye or get one of your myriad of spies to check it out - should only take 5 minutes of their time.
