Cymbidium Madison Falls 'Jupiter'

Post by Piya »

It has been flowering for a month right now, even the weather is so hot. Very fragrant and compact habbit.

The size is a half smaller than other seedlings.

I'm sorry Piya but this orchid does nothing for me at all, even a smaller-growing form. It has dull color and lacks the pizzazz I seek in my hybrids. But as you say it blooms well under your conditions. If you breed with it, how will you improve it? I don't think we need any more dull bronzes......

For my conditions, it is very hard to find plant very long lasting flowers, plus strongly fragrant. I will use it with ensifolium and chloranthum lines. With these lines, they never give me long lasting but the blooms are reliable.
