Having known him for several years now, I know the nursery location is extremely secure and indeed does not welcome any orchid hobbyists. No different to the large commercial nurseries here, they never sell retail and you have to have a wholesale selling licence to purchase any of their plants.

He has a wholesale only establishment and doesn't have visitors.

i'd like to visit you and your plants someday SARC ??

here's a short video of the nursery in Bali (you don't need a facebook account to watch it)

Mark, I have seen Sam's orchids (SARC) for sale in retail nurseries around the place and they are very good sized plants at the price and well grown.

Richard, you will never beat the Floricultura lines but of course they are all with trade names now.

You must tell me which varieties I should look out for which perform superbly at your end, Sarc - that is, of course if they ever get to the UK.

Sorry Mark, I have never heard of him. The only person growing quality modern Mps. in Australia is Sam Cowie as far as I know and he only sells wholesale. The genus is greatly neglected by hobbyists. One of the Forum members suggested that these plants may be the remnants of that wanker Stephen Monkhouse's place in Bali??
